To provide students with a better environment to learn Putonghua and a deeper understanding of Chinese history and culture, Delia Group of Schools has partnered with Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou) again this year to offer a 16-day Putonghua Summer Camp, running from July 7th to July 22nd.
Three teachers and seven students from our school participated in this summer camp. Students learned in a beautiful and well-equipped university campus. With the guidance of experienced instructors using engaging, interactive teaching methods, students progressed from being hesitant to introduce themselves in Putonghua on the first day to confidently and fluently communicating in simple Putonghua by the end. They also achieved impressive results in the Chinese proficiency test (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi, HSK).
In addition to learning Putonghua, the summer camp also included Chinese culture classes, introducing students to aspects of Chinese culture such as Chinese cuisine, pottery, paper cutting, and knot tying. Students were also taken on excursions to the Nanyue King Museum, Yongqingfang, and Beijing Pedestrian Street, providing them with a deeper understanding of Chinese history, culture, and the customs of local residents.
Time flew by, like a white horse flashing past a gap in the fence. The 16-day summer camp came to an end. Students gained a great deal, not only improving their Putonghua skills understanding of Chinese history and culture, but also forging deep friendships with students from other branches of the school and local language partners.
為了讓學生有更佳環境學習普通話，及更深入了解中國歷史和文化。地利亞教育機構於今年再與廣州中山大學合作，為學生提供一個為期 16 日的普通話夏令營，由 7 月 7 號到 7 月 22 號。
本校共有三位老師和七位學生參加此夏令營。學生在環境優美、設備完善的大學校園內學習，加上導師用生動、有趣、互動的教學方法，令學生由第一堂時結結巴巴地以普通話自我介紹，到後來能自信、流暢地用簡單的普通話與人對答，並在漢語水平考試(HSK)中取得不俗的成績。
除學習普通話外，此夏令營還安排有中國文化課，讓學生認識中國文化，例如中國菜、中國陶器、剪紙、繩結等。以及安排學生參觀南越王博物館、永慶坊和北京步行街，
讓學生更深入了解中國歷史、文化和當地居民的風俗習慣。
