The use of question words in English is different from Chinese. In English, we begin the questions with the question words. However, we can put the question words at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of the questions in Chinese: What 什麼 What do you like to eat? 你喜歡吃什麼? nǐ xǐ huɑn chī shén me? How much 多少錢 How much is the book? 這本書多少錢? zhè běn shū duō shɑo qiɑ́n? How far 有多遠 How far is it from here to there? 從這兒到那兒有多遠? cóng zhèr dɑ̀o nɑ̀r yǒu duō yuɑ̌n?
