The use of “but” in English is different from Chinese. In Chinese, we usually use the sentence pattern
雖然……但是…… “seoi1 jin4……daan6 hai6……” to tell the contrast.
In English, we only use either “but” or “although” in a sentence. However, we can use both in Chinese.
