You have learnt some question words in Chapter 1 already. There are two more that you have to learn:
1. We will put the word “When” ( shén me shí hou 什麼時候) after the subject in a question. e.g. When do you go to school? nǐ shén me shí hou shɑ̀ng xué? 你什麼時候上學?
2. For “Which” (nɑ̌ 哪), we will put it after the subject and verb of a question. When you use “nɑ̌ 哪”, you have to pay attention to the classifier that the noun belongs to. For example, the question is asking something related to person and we have learnt that the classifier for person is “gè”. So, we have to use “nɑ̌(gè) 哪(個)” to ask the question. e.g. Which singer do you like? nǐ xǐ huɑn nɑ̌ ge gē xīng? 你喜歡哪個歌星?
