Siu Ming: Temples in Hong Kong are one
of the famous tourist spots for tourists.
Mei Ling: Yes. The famous templesin Hong Kong are Wong Tai Sin Temple, Po Lin Monastery, the Mosque and Catholic
Church.
Ali: I have heard the name of Wong Tai Sin Temple before. How does it like?
Siu Ming: Wong Tai Sin is one of the Chinese gods. It belongs to Taoism. Believers will worship in Wong Tai Sin Temple and hope that Wong Tai Sin will protect them. Besides, people said that Wong Tai Sin is very accurate in predicting future. So, people will also go to Wong Tai Sin to predict future and try to find out the solution for their problems.
Ali: Oh, I see. We also have our own
god, like the Mosque in Tsim
Sha Tsui. It is the place for us to
pray and worship.
Mei Ling: In fact, Hong Kong is
a city with religious freedom.
Siu Ming: I agree. Comparatively,
there are more people believe in Christianity,
Catholicism, Buddhism, Taoism and so on.
Ali: Each religion has its own rituals and customs. If we want to learn all the details
of every religion, it is, in fact, a kind of knowledge for us to acquire, like learning a
subject at school.
