For example:

香港有名的宗教場所有黃大仙、寶蓮寺、清真寺和天主教堂等。
xiɑ̄ng gɑ̌ng yǒu míng de zōng jiɑ̀o chɑ̌ng suǒ yǒu huɑ́ng dɑ̀ xiɑ̄n、bɑ̌o liɑ́n sì、qīng zhēn sì hé tiɑ̄n zhǔ jiɑ̀o tɑ́ng děng.

When we want to give a few examples, we will use three dots “ …” or “ so on” in English to help us. However, we will use six dot “……” or “等” to leave out examples that we do not want to mention in Chinese.

For the Punctuation mark, there are difference between Chinese and English. From the above example, we use comma 
to separate items in a series in English. However, we use a dot(、) to separate items in a series in Chinese. 
The last item in a series is usually preceded by a conjunction. They are “and” or “or” in English and “和”
 or “或” in Chinese.

The use of punctuation mark in Chinese is quite complicated. So far, we have learnt two punctuation marks. The first 
one is dot (、) to list things. The other is a “full stop”. In Chinese, the full stop is like a small circle (。).
It is used when the whole idea is finished.
