*Sentence pattern: “If…”   “如果……就……”   (“ Jyu4 gwo2……zau6…… ”)
It is much easier to use the “if” sentence pattern in Chinese. In English, there are three types of conditional sentences 
and they are complicated. To talk about possibility in Chinese, the sentence pattern “ 如果……，就……”  can be  used.

Example:

如果你的證件有問題，（你）就要到入境事務處再辦理。
Jyu4 gwo2 nei5 dik1 zing3 gin2 jau5 man6 tai4，(nei5) zau6 jiu3 dou3 jap6 ging2 si6 mou6 cyu3 zoi3 baan6 lei5。
If there is any problem for your traveling document, you need to go to the Immigration Department to fix it.

e.g. From the above example, a subject “ 你 ” is added in front of the word “ 就 ” because this will  help to emphasize your feeling.
