When you want to talk about something you do with others together, we will use the word 一起 （yī qǐ）。It means “together” in English. The sentence pattern in Chinese 
and English are different. In English, we will put the word “together” after the verb.
 However, we will put the word 一起 （yī qǐ）before the verb in Chinese. 
Besides, we put the adverb of time at the end of the sentence in English, 
but at the beginning in the Chinese sentence.

Example: 昨天，我們一起吃午飯。 zuó tiɑ̄n，wǒ men yī qǐ chī wǔ fɑ̀n。
We had lunch together yesterday.
