If you are uncertain of something, you may use some auxiliary words to express that in English. In Chinese, 
some words carry uncertain meaning. They are 也許 (jaa5 heoi2) ，可能 (ho2 nang4)  and 或者 (waak6 ze2). 
The word  也許  is used in formal Chinese. The word  可能  and  或者  are used in both formal 
and informal Chinese. The usage of the uncertain words in Chinese is the same the English one. 
They will be put after the subject and in front of the verb.

Example: 農曆新年也許和印度新年有點相似。

         nung4 lik6 san1 nin4 jaa5 heoi2 jyu5 jan3 dou6 san1 nin4 jau5 dim2 soeng1 ci5 .

               Chinese New Year may be similar to Diwali.
